Summer Day Camp
We are pleased to announce that the NWT Montessori Society has designed a NEW Summer Day Camp program for summer 2010!
Children will be engaged in this summers weekly themes, and experience fun educational activities to keep their love of learning active all summer long! With trips to the museum, nature hikes, swimming, crafts, music, history of the North, There is something to peak every child’s interest!
Parents can rest assure that their children will have a great experience with the Summer Day Camp as it will prove to ignite their child’s sense of exploration!
SUMMER DAY CAMP DETAILS
CAMP DATES
The Summer Day camp program runs from July 5th – August 27th, 2010.
AGE
Preschool age campers must be 3 – 5 years of age by June 30, 2010 to attend the Summer Day Camp program. Preschool aged children attending summer day camp MUST be fully potty trained. School aged campers must be 6 – 10 years old by June 30, 2010.
For each week there are 24 sports available for the 3 – 5 year old campers and 10 spots for the 6 – 10 year old campers.
CAMP HOURS
Day Camp runs Monday – Friday from 7:45 am – 5:15 pm, excluding statutory holidays. Children must be picked up by 5:15, if not picked up late pick up charges will apply.
SUPERVISION
Campers are supervised at all times.

Counselors have experience working with children and training in First Aid and CPR and are supervised by both the Summer Camp Supervisor and the Executive Director of the Society.
SPECIAL NEEDS
Please note on the registration form if your camper has any special needs. The NWT Montessori Society Summer Camp is unable to provide one-on-one supervision. We do provide a PEANUT FREE environment.
FEES
Weekly fees are $175.00, with the exception of Week 5. Week 5 fees are $155.00 because of the Civic Holiday. Fees are non-refundable, so ensure that you register for the correct weeks. Fees are based on 5 full days/week, there are no fee reduction for partial weeks or days missed.
NOTE: You do not have to register for the whole summer, you can register for only the weeks that you require childcare.

Week 3: July 19-23: Birds, Bugs and Wildlife!
Week 4: July 26-30: History of the North
Week 5: Aug. 2-6: Outer Space
Week 6: Aug. 9-13: Water!
Week 7: Aug. 16-20: Adventure & Exploring!
Week 8: Aug. 23-27: Sports!
PAYMENT METHOD
Payments for the weeks registered must accompany the registration package; payment must be made before the child can attend the camp. Monthly post dated cheques are required, one cheque for July and one cheque for August. Make cheque payable to NWT Montessori Society, cheques must be post dated for the first of the month. NSF cheques are subject to a $25.00 NFS fee.
This is not a MONTESSORI based Summer Camp, the program is run by the NWT Montessori Society as a means of childcare for our members through the summer months. Montessori Education is not provided.
